ISUtv, Iowa State University’s student-run cable channel, received multiple awards at the
Iowa Broadcast News Association Conference on April 30, 2011.
The Iowa Broadcast News Association is a nonprofit organization made up of Iowa broadcast media professionals working to improve electronic media news. Every year the organization recognizes outstanding work by Iowa media professionals, as well as students, at an annual conference.
For 2010 student broadcasts, ISUtv was awarded second place in the category of Best Newscast, second place in the Public Affairs category for the “GSB Debate Special,” and both the second place award
in General Reporting and third place award in Best News Photography for Josh Larson’s “Rec Rennovations” story.
This is the first time that ISUtv has received awards from the IBNA.
Be sure to tune in this Fall for more student-produced programming.
